Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is stepping down at the end of June to focus on her husband Abraham Williams’ battle with a rare bone cancer. The couple has been married for 11 years, and she called him “her rock” in her announcement.
President Trump named her Principal Deputy Aaron Lukas as Acting Director to ensure a smooth transition.
But before she walks out the door, Gabbard is planning to drop some major revelations.
According to sources, she intends to release findings from ongoing investigations into Havana Syndrome (Anomalous Health Incidents), the COVID-19 pandemic, the weaponization of the federal government, the 2020 presidential election, and more. These will likely come in weekly installments over the next month.
Gabbard has already made significant strides in her 15 months as DNI. She oversaw the declassification of more than 500,000 pages of previously withheld records as of May 2026. Her “ODNI 2.0” restructuring cut agency bloat by over 40%, saving taxpayers an estimated $700 million per year. She also pushed through the release of records related to the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and Martin Luther King Jr., as well as Amelia Earhart’s disappearance, and has been aggressive about exposing the Russia collusion hoax.
Democrats like Sen. Adam Schiff couldn’t resist taking shots at her even after her personal announcement, showing once again how petty some in that party can be.
Gabbard’s departure is bittersweet. She’s been a strong voice for transparency and reform inside the intelligence community. Her upcoming releases could be very interesting and potentially lead to real accountability for those who abused their power.
We wish Tulsi and her husband strength as they face this health battle. She’s served her country in uniform and in government, and now she’s putting family first.
The intelligence community is getting a major overhaul under Trump, and Gabbard’s work has been a big part of that. Whatever she drops before she leaves will be worth paying close attention to.
