A Somali immigrant allegedly tried to be*ead a man in the middle of a quiet street in North Belfast — and was only stopped by brave bystanders who jumped in to save the victim’s life.
The horrific attack happened on Kinnaird Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on June 8. The suspect climbed on top of the victim and repeatedly sawed at his head and throat with a Stanley-style knife. He also tried to cut the man’s eyes out.

Local heroes didn’t stand by. One man grabbed a hurley stick and helped drag the attacker off the helpless victim. Others screamed and tried to intervene as the savage assault unfolded in the street. Thanks to their quick action, the victim survived long enough for police and paramedics to arrive.
Police from the Police Service of Northern Ireland arrested the suspect at the scene. The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries to his neck and head.
This is the kind of barbaric violence that has become far too common in parts of the UK and Ireland as mass migration from incompatible cultures continues. Knife attacks, stabbings, and attempts at public beheadings are no longer rare occurrences in once-peaceful neighborhoods.
The attacker was a Somali immigrant. These kinds of savage, frenzied attacks were virtually unheard of before large-scale importation of people from regions with completely different values and attitudes toward violence.
Bystanders who risked their own safety to stop this are the real heroes here. While politicians and media often downplay or ignore the pattern, ordinary people are the ones left dealing with the consequences on their own streets.
The victim is fighting for his life. The suspect is in custody. And communities across the UK and Ireland are once again forced to confront the reality that not every culture is compatible with Western civilization.
This should never have happened. And it will keep happening until leaders get serious about who they allow into their countries.
