Chicago Police have now released surveillance photos of the person of interest seen fleeing the scene. The images show a shirtless young man in his 20s with dark hair, dark pants, white sneakers, and a backpack. He has noticeably high cheekbones and Asian features — consistent with Korean or Japanese descent.

Leftists and some activists immediately blamed “white racists” and the KKK without any evidence. A South Side church even offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. The rush to judgment was predictable and revealing.
Police are treating this as an arson investigation. They have not confirmed the motive, but the suspect’s appearance alone destroys the story that was being pushed within minutes of the video surfacing.
This is the same pattern we see repeatedly: an incident happens, the left assigns blame to “white supremacy” before facts emerge, and then reality intervenes. Whether it’s this case or others, the media and activists often prioritize the narrative over the evidence.
Chicago PD is asking the public to help identify the man in the photos. If you recognize him, contact authorities. The truth matters more than the preferred storyline.
