A woman in Longview, Texas, was allegedly jumped and beaten by a group of girls who targeted her because she was White and small — while shouting “Free Karmelo” during the attack.
Sammie Lee says she was out having drinks at Whiskey J’s and nothing happened inside the bar. But as she walked back to her vehicle to head home, multiple girls she had never met or seen before jumped her. According to Sammie, they were yelling “Free Karmelo” and made it clear they were looking to target “the smallest white girl they could find.”
The assault left her with a black eye and staples in her head.
More photos from the aftermath are circulating in the thread showing the extent of the injuries.

This wasn’t some random bar fight. It was a targeted attack based on race. The attackers didn’t know Sammie. They didn’t have a personal beef with her. They saw a small White woman and decided she was fair game because of the ongoing controversy surrounding Karmelo Anthony.
For those who haven’t followed the case, Karmelo Anthony is the teenager charged in the stabbing death of Austin Metcalf, a White student, at a school event in Texas. The case has sparked ugly racial division online, with some activists and supporters pushing “Free Karmelo” narratives that ignore the facts of the incident and instead frame it through a racial lens.
Now that rhetoric appears to be spilling into real-world violence. Women like Sammie Lee are getting attacked simply for existing while White.
This is a textbook hate crime. The attackers made their motive explicit — they were hunting for a small White girl to beat up in the name of “Free Karmelo.” Yet you can already guess how much mainstream coverage this will get compared to similar incidents with the races reversed. One side gets wall-to-wall outrage and “hate crime” headlines. The other gets crickets or careful downplaying.
Sammie Lee didn’t ask for this. She was just trying to go home after a night out. Instead, she ended up with staples in her head because some people decided her skin color made her a legitimate target.
This is what happens when racial grievance is allowed to fester and spread unchecked. Rhetoric has consequences. When people are told that certain groups are oppressors and others are victims who deserve “justice” by any means, some will take that message literally.
The photos tell the story better than words ever could. A woman beaten for the color of her skin while her attackers chanted a slogan tied to another racially charged case. This should be condemned loudly and without hesitation from every corner — not just when it fits a preferred narrative.
Longview police are investigating, and hopefully they treat this exactly as it appears: a racially motivated assault. Victims like Sammie Lee deserve justice, not selective outrage depending on who the attackers and victims happen to be.
This kind of targeted racial violence has no place in America. Period.
