You have to love when a Democrat steps up to the mic thinking he’s dropping a mic-drop moment, only to trip over his own feet and hand Republicans a gift-wrapped win. That’s Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) in a nutshell, railing against the Trump DOJ’s “victory lap” on the J6 pipe bomb arrest like it’s some partisan stunt. Warner, vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, couldn’t resist the dig during a Thursday interview: “All the senior FBI officials across all key divisions have been fired for political purposes… Up to 45% of FBI officers doing counter-espionage and cyber have been assigned to immigration cases.” He wondered aloud if the bust could’ve happened sooner without the “diversion.”

Oh, Mark, bless your heart—that’s not a gotcha; that’s a confession. Warner’s accidentally admitting Biden’s DOJ let the case gather dust for four years while chasing parents at school boards and pro-lifers in clinics. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino laid it bare at the presser: “When Dan Bongino and I came to the FBI in March, the pipe bomb investigation had been stalled for going on 5 years. We rebuilt it from scratch… We didn’t need new evidence – just new leaders, and a new President @realDonaldTrump willing to let good cops be cops.”

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino: “Folks, this is what it’s like when you work for a president who tells you to get the bad guys and to stop focusing on other extraneous things not related to law enforcement. This is what happens.”

Warner own-goaled spectacularly, highlighting how Trump’s immigration focus—deporting criminals and securing borders—freed up resources for real threats like pipe bombers. Under Biden, the FBI was too busy with “extremist” moms and dads to solve this. Trump’s team? They nailed it in months. The left’s “diversion” whine ignores their own failures—Russia hoaxes, J6 obsession—while Trump’s priorities deliver results.
This backfire is the year’s best—Warner handed us the narrative on a platter. Dems cry “weaponization,” but it’s accountability. Midterms are coming; let’s keep the momentum.
