Ben Carson Finds $500 Billion In Government Waste – Guess Who’s Going DOWN For It?

The left constantly freaks out when conservatives suggest that big government wastes money. They have been brainwashed into believing that somehow government is actually productive and helps the economy when in reality, they are a drain on it.

Liberal economic professors love suggesting that paying taxes somehow saves you money because they can’t fathom a society of free markets and people being responsible for themselves, their own family and neighbors. Reason being, they are not entrepreneurs and are on the dole.

According to a newly confirmed Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson did a complete audit of the HUD department, probably to see what he had to work with after the Obama administration left the building. What he found wasn’t pretty.

The Daily Wire reports:

President Trump picked Carson to head the Department of Housing and Urban Development, whose budget grew by leaps and bounds under Barack Obama.

In one of his first acts as HUD Secretary, Carson ordered an audit of the agency. What he found was staggering: $520 billion in bookkeeping errors.

“The total amounts of errors corrected in HUD’s notes and consolidated financial statements were $516.4 billion and $3.4 billion, respectively,” the auditors wrote.

That’s BILLION. With a “B” folks!

No surprise really, since we just had an administration left that was more concerned with social justice issues – from letting Black Lives Matter riot in the streets to forcing schools to let transgenders into the bathrooms – I guess sound accounting practices weren’t exactly high on the list of priorities for the Obama administration. After all, it’s just taxpayer money. What is this “fiscal responsibility” you speak of?

I really don’t expect the federal government to be totally and 100% responsible with my tax dollars. But when I see just how bad these mediocre private sector rejects are, it gives me a migraine. I do hope that the HUD under Donald Trump and Ben Carson can make some improvements.

We are sunk if it’s just business as usual.
