We now have a face to the latest stunt that’s turning the WNBA into a circus.
Delbert Carver, 23, has officially earned the nickname “Dildo Bandit” after he was arrested for launching a neon green sex toy onto the court during a WNBA matchup between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream. Authorities have now released his mugshot, and let’s just say—he looks exactly how you’d expect.
Carver was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and public indecency. He admitted to police that he threw the sex toy “as a joke” and hoped it would go viral on social media. Well, mission accomplished—but not in the way he intended.

This isn’t just a one-off incident. The WNBA is now dealing with a disturbing trend.
Just days after Carver’s stunt, another fan threw a similar object during an Indiana Fever game—nearly hitting guard Sophie Cunningham. At least three more incidents have occurred in the past week across arenas in Phoenix, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
Most recently, 18-year-old Kaden Lopez was arrested for throwing a dildo into the stands at a Phoenix Mercury game. It reportedly struck a man and his 9-year-old niece. Lopez now faces charges for assault and public display of explicit material.
League officials have announced lifetime bans for any future offenders and are working with local police to press criminal charges where possible. Some venues have already tightened security and banned bags from being brought into arenas.
What started as a sick “prank” has now turned into a full-blown safety concern—and the league is scrambling to shut it down.
