After Mexico, Japan got hit by a powerful earthquake!
Japan has been hit by a large earthquake, waking people up in the middle of the night.
It struck today around 200 miles from Fukushima, the nuclear power plant which suffered a triple meltdown after an earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
The 6.1 magnitude quake struck the east of the country close to Kamaishi on the island of Honshu.
The extent of the damage is not yet clear.
The depth of the earthquake, which struck at 2.37am local time, was measured at 10km.
A similar earthquake back in 2011 killed four people and injured 10 more when landslides occurred and fires broke out as a result.
