Washington, D.C. – A bombshell revelation from California Rep. Laura Friedman has conservatives on X up in arms after she admitted on April 15, 2025, that House Democrats meet weekly with far-left state attorneys general to orchestrate a “litigation working group” aimed at targeting President Donald Trump and his America First agenda. The video, shared by The Gateway Pundit on April 15 [], captures Friedman bragging to voters about the shadowy operation, which conservatives are calling a “scandal” and a blatant abuse of power.
“Every single week, we have a litigation working group where a large group of us—and I’m talking maybe 75 members of the House—sit down with the AGs to talk about legal strategy,” Friedman said, detailing how the group operates “behind the scenes” with “nonstop” efforts to introduce bills, leverage social media, and coordinate with AGs like New York’s Letitia James and Michigan’s Dana Nessel, who have led high-profile lawsuits against Trump. James, for instance, secured a $454 million fraud judgment against Trump in 2024, per a BBC report on February 16, 2025 [], while Nessel has challenged Trump’s executive orders on immigration, as noted in a Washington Post article on February 17, 2025 [].

Conservatives on X, like @MAGAForce2024, were quick to slam the revelation: “Dems lecture about democracy but collude weekly to weaponize the justice system against Trump—hypocrisy exposed!” @PatriotPulse called it “lawfare,” adding, “They’re trying to cripple Trump’s promises to drain the swamp, and taxpayers are footing the bill!” Friedman’s admission aligns with reports of Democratic AGs’ aggressive legal battles against Trump, including blocking his January 2025 executive order on birthright citizenship, which a federal judge called “blatantly unconstitutional,” per the Washington Post [].
The “litigation working group” has been a point of contention since its inception, with a Just Security tracker on April 15, 2025 [], noting over 50 lawsuits filed by Democratic AGs against Trump’s second-term actions. For conservatives, this is a call to action. @America1stMAGA demanded, “Republicans need to investigate this shadow government NOW—America deserves transparency!” Friedman’s words have lit a fire under Trump supporters, who see this as proof of a coordinated effort to undermine the president—and they’re ready to fight back against what they call an elitist scheme cooked up in D.C. backrooms.
