Breaking story — details to come.
A combat veteran in Texas wound up in a armed standoff with local looters after they allegedly tried to steal goods designated to be distributed to flood victims in need.
It was said that the veteran was guarding the goods to contribute to the relief efforts when several “pedestrians” began to take interest in the supplies.
It was said that the pedestrians were Hispanic men from a nearby neighborhood.
After running one would-be looter away, the thug returned armed and with his buddies, which caused the veteran and another friend to engage in an armed showdown with them
The standoff lasted until police could arrive. It is still unknown if any arrests were made.
