The Maricopa Police Department has released body camera footage of a man who was shot and killed by police back in March.
The footage shows the moments leading up to and when Maricopa officers shot and killed a man they believed was armed with a gun. It happened a month ago in a neighborhood near Mac Neil Street and Sanders Way. Officers later learned 56-year-old Lawrence Knudsen was holding a vape pen in one hand and a cellphone in the other. Knudsen was not armed at the time of the shooting.

Knudsen was seen holding a black object in his right hand, which was later determined to be a vape pen. After the shooting, officials say officers began rendering medical aid until paramedics arrived.
Police say they responded to a residence in the Homestead community near White and Parker and Honeycutt roads at around 8 a.m. a.m. on March 27 after they received reports of an armed man who was reportedly suicidal at the front yard of a home.
“Once on scene, the suspect began making threats towards officers in an attempt to engage them. As the suspect advanced towards officers into the street, an MPD Officer fired her duty weapon, striking the suspect,” the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
A neighbor just a few houses down says she was able to figure out which house it happened at when she woke up.
“Over there by the landscaper, that’s the landscaper’s house. We know because he has a car like a landscape car. And then I came out, and I saw, and I told my mom it might be really bad. We don’t know much people here. I just know the two neighbors because we’ve been here for over five years, but it’s very quiet here,” the neighbor said.
Police later found a gun on the tailgate of Knudsen’s pickup truck. The Maricopa Police Department is currently investigating if the officer’s actions are in line with department policies.
The mainstream media ignores this case as every other case when it doesn’t fit their fake narrative!
The national protests against police brutality have focused for the most part on black victims, claiming that black Americans are disproportionately abused by police. The video of George Floyd being hit a raw nerve in the black community.
Cities burned and people lost their lives and businesses!
This has led Americans to claim that the protesters are deliberately ignoring white victims. Commentator Matt Walsh pointed to videos of two white men, Tony Timpa and Daniel Shaver, being brutally killed by police as evidence that only black killings get attention and that police brutality is not a reflection of systemic racism. At Townhall, Mike Adams wrote an article entitled “White Man Can’t Breathe,” noting that there had not been “George Soros-funded protests” or “Antifa riots” in response to the Timpa killing, and implied a lack of them would show “political opportunism.”
All of this is real and the riots were for nothing!
