‘Robert Byrd Was Her Mentor’: Hannity Blasts Dems for Racism ‘Hypocrisy’ (Video)

On Wednesday evening, FOX News’ Sean Hannity blasted the Democrat Party for its history of racism.

Hannity showed how the Democrats use racism as a way to win votes while history shows they were the ones perpetuating racism in this country by resisting segregation, the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act.

Hannity pointed out how even recently Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton’s mentors were both racists who resisted the Civil Rights Act and one was a member of the KKK.

Al Gore’s father even resisted the Civil Rights Act!

The Democrats won’t denounce any of these people.

Fox News reports:

Sean Hannity criticized Democrats for their “rampant history of racism” and called out the media for ignoring that history.

Hannity recalled how several contemporary Democrats’ “mentors” were pro-segregationist or against the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

He pointed out Bill Clinton’s mentor, Sen. J. William Fulbright (D-Ark.) and his vice president’s father, Sen. Al Gore Sr. (D-Tenn.) both found themselves on the wrong side of race issues.

Fulbright signed the “Southern Manifesto,” which objected to the Supreme Court’s desegregation of schools in “Brown v. Board of Education.”

Gore Sr. voted against the Civil Rights Act.

“That’s their history,” Hannity said.

He also noted how Hillary Clinton gave a heartfelt remembrance of Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.), a former “exalted cyclops” in the Ku Klux Klan.

Hannity said Byrd filibustered the Civil Rights Act for 14 hours and was later described by Mrs. Clinton as “a man surpassing eloquence and nobility.”

He noted how Byrd – who later renounced the Klan – is memorialized in dozens of places, including with a statue in Charleston’s State House and throughout the Appalachian Highway System.
