The Supreme Court may be the highest court in the land—but thanks to Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, it’s starting to sound more like a TikTok comment section than a place of constitutional seriousness.
In her latest dissent, Jackson dropped the phrase “wait for it” mid-sentence—yes, like a YouTuber stalling for ad revenue. The reaction from constitutional analysts was immediate and brutal. As one viral tweet put it:
“She typed out ‘wait for it’… in a Supreme Court dissent… There has never been a more embarrassing DEI hire in history.”

It’s hard to argue. Justice Amy Coney Barrett herself dismantled Jackson’s childish writing in her majority opinion, stating flatly:
“We will not dwell on Justice Jackson’s argument, which is at odds with more than two centuries’ worth of precedent, not to mention the Constitution itself… Justice Jackson decries an imperial executive while embracing an imperial judiciary.”
Translation: Even liberal legal reasoning should be better than this.
Jackson wasn’t chosen for her legal brilliance. She was selected because Joe Biden promised to pick a Black woman—credentials optional. And now America is watching the consequences of identity politics play out in real time.
The Court is ruling on matters of national security, executive power, and constitutional order—and Jackson is out here writing like she’s live-tweeting a reality show.
This is what happens when merit is sidelined for DEI quotas. We end up with a justice who thinks “wait for it” is appropriate legal language while openly pushing far-left activism from the bench.
Barrett and the rest of the justices didn’t even bother debating her arguments seriously. And after reading her dissent, it’s not hard to see why—even she didn’t seem to.
