This may be old but it is definitely worth watching again!
Senator Trey Gowdy is truly a great man of honor. He is really good at getting to the point.
In a congressional hearing held two years ago, Gowdy appears to be like many people who are completely fed up with the Black Lives Matter movement, and so he ripped northeastern University professor of law, criminal justice expert and community policing advocate Deborah Ramirez in a way that left her speechless. For sure she was no match for the South Carolina Republican Trey Gowdy.
After professor Ramirez’ gave the opening statements alleging that black crime victims are treated differently than white crime victims, and comments from other House members, Gowdy eloquently explained some things:
As we can see from the video Gowdy skillfully taking apart a Black Lives Matter activist and ethnic studies professor, as he takes her through a civics lesson, and show why he is considered one of the most brilliant and highly regarded lawmakers within congress today.
He began by asking professor Ramirez if she was familiar with a number of cases, reading them one by one so that Ramirez had to answer “no” to each individually.
Then he started reading another list of names and again, Ramirez had to admit that she had not heard of a single name on the list, which turned out to be people killed in “intra-racial homicides”
Noting the lack of protests after police killings and intra-racial killings, Gowdy asked, “Whether you’re killed by a police officer or your next door neighbor, you’re every bit as dead, aren’t you?”
Gowdy lamented the lack of witness cooperation in many urban crimes “even after a drive-by shooting of an 8-year-old at a birthday party.”
He then said: “I want to get to the point where we lament the death, the murder of a black female like Nell Lindsey just as much if it’s at the hand of an abusive husband, which it was, as we would if it would have been at the hands of a white cop.”
“So I hope that part of this 21st-century police strategy conversation that we’re having includes getting people to cooperate with law enforcement so you can hold people to the exact same standard regardless of the race of the victim.”
Trey Gowdy is the smartest person in the room, his genius and knowledge are impeccable. The fact that Ms. Ramirez did not know any of the people Mr. Gowdy mentioned tells me her argument was a lame duck as is most arguments presented by the BLM. Sad she is an actual professor touting this bull. I was so glad Mr. Gowdy had the audacity to put her and the BLM argument to rest in a relativity short time frame. The left-wing propaganda machine thought they would come to the hearing and roll over the Congressman but she sure left with her tail tucked between her legs this time. Go, Trey Gowdy!
