It’s not the first time the veterans group Veterans Assisting Veterans has voiced their disapproval of Sen. Elizabeth Warren and other lawmakers who put the needs of illegal immigrants ahead of the needs of our veterans.
In February, Fox News reported:
Members of the group Veterans Assisting Veterans joined “Fox & Friends” Monday to discuss their opposition to the immigration policies of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and other lawmakers.
The Massachusetts-based group is demanding that the interests of veterans are placed before those of undocumented immigrants.
“There’s hundreds of veterans dying every day. … Why don’t we address those problems first, and then we’ll worry about other people coming into our country,” said Dennis Moschella, the group’s president.
The group would like to see the veterans be supported first, since they are the ones providing the lawmakers the opportunity to speak on these immigration issues by serving their country.
The group’s spokesman John MacDonald said Veterans Assisting Veterans is by no means anti-immigration and in fact salutes the countless immigrants who have fought for America.
“Elizabeth Warren and people like her seem to have a very hard time understanding the difference between legal and illegal. … It seems to be the fact that she’s more interested in creating political theater than she is in helping Americans,” MacDonald said.

Veterans Helping Veterans has since invited Warren to a rally and fundraiser they are holding August 26, however they came to the conclusion that Warren is still not really interested in their cause and decided to resend the invitation.
Warren’s challenger, Geoff Diehl was also invited and will be attending the event.
Boston Herald reports:
“If you don’t want to respond, you don’t want to support, we asked you to come to our rally, our message to you is stay home, we don’t want you,” said John MacDonald, of Veterans Assisting Veterans.
“I think that really demonstrates where her heart is. To me, it’s really, really frustrating, and our group is really frustrated,” MacDonald said.
The vets group is planning to hold the rally and a fundraiser Aug. 26 in Lowell. MacDonald said both Warren and Republican challenger Geoff Diehl were invited, but Warren’s office never responded. Diehl will be there, MacDonald said.
“It doesn’t seem like veterans or Massachusetts are a priority to her,” he said. “All veterans should feel obligated to speak out when somebody who should be representing us, should be speaking out, has not.”
Warren’s office did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
Earlier this year, MacDonald and his group wrote an open letter to Warren, published in the Herald, asking why she had not thrown her support behind veterans issues with the same gusto as she has spoken out on immigration issues.
“There’s too much at stake, veterans have been promised benefits and they have been promised really a lot and the government doesn’t always come through on that,” MacDonald said yesterday. “We need advocates, and we shouldn’t have to fight this hard.”
It’s pretty clear that Elizabeth Warren and her ilk are not interested in helping Americans that have sacrificed so much for their country, they are more interested in attracting hoards of voters who want free handouts.
Warren is a disgrace to our country and needs to be removed from office! Share if you agree!
