You know that insane moment when you realize the Oscars have officially stopped caring about making great movies and are now just enforcing a woke checklist? That’s exactly what the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has done with its “diversity inclusion” standards for Best Picture eligibility. In order to even be considered for the top prize, every film must now meet strict quotas on race, gender, sexual orientation, and disability representation. Yes, this is real — and it explains why so many modern movies feel forced, preachy, and unwatchable.
Here’s how the rules actually work (straight from the Academy):
A film must meet **at least two** of the following four standards:
**Standard A: On-Screen Representation**
– At least one lead or significant supporting actor from an underrepresented racial or ethnic group, OR
– At least 30% of all actors in secondary roles from underrepresented groups, OR
– The main storyline must center on an underrepresented group.
**Standard B: Creative Leadership & Project Team**
– At least two creative leadership positions (director, producer, writer, etc.) must be filled by people from underrepresented groups, OR
– At least 30% of the crew must come from underrepresented groups.
**Standard C: Industry Access & Opportunities**
– The studio or production company must have paid internships or apprenticeships for underrepresented groups.
**Standard D: Audience Development**
– The film must include marketing or outreach targeting underrepresented audiences.
If a movie doesn’t check at least two of these boxes, it’s automatically disqualified from Best Picture contention — no matter how brilliant the story, acting, or directing is.
So, in other words, the best movie won’t win if it’s not woke. That’s why the movies of today suck. Woke is a disease that needs to be eradicated. Whatever it touches, it destroys.
The Academy claims this is about “inclusion,” but it’s really about control — forcing filmmakers to prioritize identity politics over storytelling. Classic movies like *The Godfather*, *Schindler’s List*, or *Saving Private Ryan* would likely fail today’s checklist. Now we get endless remakes, sequels, and agenda-driven flops that prioritize checking boxes over entertaining audiences.
The left loves to lecture about “diversity,” but this quota system is the opposite of merit. It’s affirmative action for Hollywood, and it’s killing creativity. Real talent is being sidelined while mediocrity gets green-lit because it meets the diversity scorecard.
Patriots are done with this garbage. The Oscars have become a joke, and so have most of the films they celebrate. Time to let artists make great movies again — without the woke commissars dictating every casting call and storyline.
