Another “blame ICE” hoax just blew up in spectacular fashion.
A Peruvian man tried to convince his family, friends, and even the media that federal immigration agents had “abducted” his wife because of her immigration status. The story made headlines and fit the left’s narrative perfectly—ICE was supposedly snatching people right out of their homes.
But there was just one problem: it was all a lie.
According to investigators, the husband—identified as Gutierrez—told at least three different stories. First, he said ICE took her. Then he claimed she ran away with another man. Later, he switched it up again, saying she’d been in an accident.
Meanwhile, his neighbor’s Nest security camera caught something far more chilling. In the footage, Gutierrez can be seen dragging a massive, heavy-looking sack across the yard—large enough to contain a human body. Not long after, his wife’s body was discovered in the Los Angeles National Forest.
Video:
Instead of facing justice, Gutierrez used his lies to buy himself time. He fled the country with the couple’s three young sons, heading back to Peru.
The Peruvian consulate confirmed he had landed there safely, but claimed authorities couldn’t detain him because no warrant had been issued at the time. U.S. officials are now working with Peruvian authorities to bring him back to face charges.
This case is beyond tragic—not just because of the murder, but because the media instantly ran with the “ICE kidnapping” angle without asking a single hard question. The left wanted to believe the narrative, and it ended up being a convenient smokescreen for a man covering up his own crime.
