The social media giants are stuck in a vise as the Trump campaign look for an edge by accusing the platforms of favoring the other side.
A majority of Americans think social media companies have too much power and influence in politics, and roughly half think major technology companies should be regulated more than they are now, according to a new Pew Research Center survey.
Overall, 72% of U.S. adults say social media companies have too much power and influence in politics today, according to the June 16-22 survey. Far fewer Americans believe the amount of political power these companies hold is about the right amount (21%) or not enough (6%).
Majorities of both Republicans and Democrats believe social media companies wield too much power, but Republicans are particularly likely to express this view. Roughly eight-in-ten Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (82%) think these companies have too much power and influence in politics, compared with 63% of Democrats and Democratic leaners. Democrats, on the other hand, are more likely than Republicans to say these companies have about the right amount of power and influence in politics (28% vs. 13%). Small shares in both parties believe these companies do not have enough power.
Trump and Republicans, who have long held that conservative voices are being suppressed by Silicon Valley liberals reacting to elite media outrage at the president and his supporters.
One man sends an alleged proof of YouTube manipulating Biden’s video count to TGP.
He said:
I just thought you guys would be interested in this. The Biden campaign has just uploaded new ads on his channel and I happened to be refreshing the channel as the videos were being uploaded. The videos had between a few thousand to over 100,000 views within seconds of being uploaded. I wonder if they read the piece you had just put out on the topic? Screenshot from a minute or two after I saw it. Hope you guys can do something with the information. I’d prefer not to receive any credit for providing it.

The videos were only up for a couple minutes and allegedly YouTube was adding thousands of views to them to show that the American public is interest in Biden.
