The Atlanta protest as every other protest across the state began peacefully before it descended into chaos when some demonstrators hurled bricks, bottles, and milk cartons at police cruisers.
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms slammed their actions at a press conference Friday, saying: ‘If you care about this city then go home.’
Georgia’s governor declared a state of emergency in one county to activate up to 500 members of the state National Guard “to protect people & property in Atlanta.”
Gov. Brian Kemp said in a pair of tweets early Saturday that the move came at the request of Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and in consultation with emergency officials. The Georgia National Guard will deploy “immediately” to assist law enforcement, he said.
But some scary videos surfaced from Georgia where it seems like kids have been deployed to stop the angry mob.
The soldiers who appeared to be minors were standing in an incredibly dangerous area on Friday evening. An hour before the video was posted, Atlanta Fire Rescue tweeted that they had reported to Lenox Mall to put out a fire set by protestors at Del Frisco’s Grille, which is located across the street from the kids’ location.

Video was shared on Twitter that appeared show four kids in Army fatigues holding riot shields just outside Lenox Mall. The video, shared by user @foxwoundband, was posted at 2:12 a.m. local time in Atlanta and quickly garnered nearly 2 million views. Heavy has reached out to the online user for more details surrounding the video.

The video now has over 3 million views but in the meantime another video surfaced.
It was tweeted out by a Chicago’s Alderman, Carlos Ramirez-Sosa, he tweeted:
It appears the state of Georgia, or someone with access to uniforms and guns, has deployed child soldiers to confront protestors in Atlanta.
This is child abuse.
Whoever is responsible must be held to account.
