White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Monday condemned a slew of viral videos of President Joe Biden appearing “confused” as “deepfakes.”
Jean-Pierre referenced viral videos of the president’s recent trips to Normandy, France and Apulia, Italy, but did not describe any specifically. Biden made headlines during those trips for multiple gaffes, including his apparent struggle to sit down at a D-Day event and another instance where he seemed to wander off during a skydiving demonstration. During a Monday press briefing, a reporter asked Jean-Pierre for the White House’s reaction to “edited” videos making Biden appear “especially frail” and “confused.”
They are done in bad faith,” Jean-Pierre said of unspecified videos of Biden from these trips. “It tells you everything that we need to know about how desperate Republicans are here.”
She continued by noting some of the viral clips were heavily edited and therefore, do not give an accurate representation of the president.
“Instead of talking about the president’s performance in office — and what I mean by that is his legislative wins, what he’s been able to do for people across this country — we’re seeing these deepfakes, these manipulated videos,” Jean-Pierre said.

The Democrats’ strategy right now is to claim these clips are edited, lack context, or are misinformation. These aren’t deep fakes—other outlets have seen it. Yet, a new clip from the LA fundraiser shows Obama’s reaction to Joe speaking about his record on the economy. It’s not pretty!

There really is no question that Joe Biden is no longer with us – the only question is whether or not celebrities and legacy media can carry him over the finish line in 2024 so they can continue to use him as a prop.
NEW: The Associated Press has issued a ‘fact check’ on the viral video of Biden freezing up on stage and being led off by Obama.
Despite having a video that clearly shows what happened, the AP talked to a ‘source’ about the incident.
“CLAIM: Biden froze onstage during his fundraiser in Los Angeles on Saturday night and had to be led away by Obama.”
“THE FACTS: Biden paused amid cheers and applause as he exited the stage with his predecessor following an interview moderated by late-night host Kimmel.”
The AP then cited a “source.”
“A source who helped organize, and attended, the fundraiser told the AP that there was nothing noteworthy about this moment and that Obama wanted to be “chummy” by walking offstage with Biden.”
Remarkable.
